That’s as long as it takes a walnut tree to mature. Or the grapevines at your favourite winery. Or how long it’s taken your little sister to forgive you for eating the last piece of her 10th birthday cake.
Since taking off in 2009, Delta has flown between Sydney and Los Angeles 10,806 times, taken care of 2,429,987 passengers, and carried 102,706 tons of cargo! Whoa.
How to enter
As innovators in the airline industry, it’s no surprise that Delta is making some fanfare about their huge Australian milestone. Nor that their prize pack is soooooo epic!
There are two routes to qualify for this epic Delta incentive: be one of the top eight sellers during the competition dates (4 July to 31 August 2024) or qualify as one of two wildcard winners.
Here’s everything you need to know about landing a spot on their celebratory USA fam.
1) Qualify as a top 8 agent*:
- Log every booking between 4 July and 31 August 2024 using the entry form below. All adult and child return airfares issued on 006 stock flying Delta Air Lines departing Australia to the USA, Canada, and Mexico qualify
- Every booking you make must be logged separately to count
- Points are awarded based on ticket sales within the incentive dates. You’ll get 1 point per adult or child in Delta Air Lines Main Cabin; 2 points per adult or child booked in Delta Premium Select; and 3 points for Delta One bookings. All point categories are valid only for Delta Air Lines return travel to the USA, Canada or Mexico from Australia, issued on 006 stock to qualify
Let’s say you book a family of five on a trip to Los Angeles from Sydney flying in Delta’s Main Cabin. That’s five points, straight up. The business booking you’re about to make flying Delta Premium Select to nail that New York City office pitch? Two points (and they’ll love the new Premium Select food choices).
And your favourite clients who call to say they want to splurge on a trip from Brisbane to Cancun for their anniversary and want the comfort of a lie-flat cabin for their journey? Six points in the bag, and very happy customers thanks to Delta’s new BNE-LAX service, commencing in December. Hurrah!
Note: points are awarded for every eligible entrant during the competition dates and must be correctly registered and logged to qualify. If you’re a little forgetful about follow-up tasks, add a daily reminder to log your points at COB (you’re welcome).
2) Enter the wildcard draw
Would it be your dream to win this trip, but you don’t think you can compete on a sales basis? First up, back yourself! Maybe you’ll surprise your office mates (and yourself) and qualify as a top seller.
And while you’re backing yourself and manifesting as a top Delta agent, you can also enter via the wildcard entry route as backup.
With two wildcard spots up for grabs, here’s what you need to do*:
- Sell at least one (1) adult or child return airfare flying Delta Air Lines out of Australia to the USA, Canada or Mexico, issued on 006 stock
