Flight Centre has launched a positive video aimed at reminding us to remain optimistic – because it ‘won’t be long before we can share the good times like we used to.’
First, it was the devastating bushfires in Australia that welcomed 2020 and then came COVID-19…
Now after almost eight months of utter heartache and pain, to say that “we’ve had one hell of a year,” feels like the understatement of the century.
And it’s still only the end of September.
But hold up. Here’s some honesty and a taste of good things to come again, hopefully soon.
Flight Centre’s ‘an open letter to travel’ 90-second video is a simple, yet highly effective short that mixes travel images in a slideshow with an uplifting story to give us all good reason to stay optimistic.
“Dear travel, we’re still standing strong,” is exactly the kind of uniting message we need to feel proud of that fact within the travel industry.
Because we still are and always will be – Together in travel.
Some of the images in the video also feature temperature checking, people wearing face masks and empty transport hubs—a reality of our new travel norm.
But that won’t put us off, because as Flight Centre says…
“Dear Travel… Our world may not be the same, but our wonders are no less great.”
“Dear Travel, It’s true what they say. Absence makes the heart grow fonder.”
“So let’s once more, get carried away, into that wild blue yonder.”
Now let’s turn dreaming into planning and booking.
Here’s to that.
