There was a double celebration last night with the TIME network of mentors, mentees, program alumni and sponsors generously hosted by The Travel Corporation at Travel House in Bondi Junction.

The industry’s acclaimed mentoring organisation acknowledged a pair of milestones as the 25th group of mentees graduated, and the ten new mentees who make up program intake no. 28 were introduced to the network.

“We’re so thrilled to have 10 mentees commencing the program in our 28th intake”, said the program’s Founder, Penny Spencer.

“It’s one of the largest groups we’ve put through TIME, and reflects to the ongoing value of mentoring in our industry. We have more than 100 experienced mentors ready to be matched with the aspiring future leaders of the travel industry like tonight’s brilliant graduates from our 25th group”, continued Penny.

Guest speaker at the event was Alexandra O‘Connor – Mentor and Insight Vacations Managing Director Australia, who presented on behalf of TIME sponsor, The Travel Corporation.

Alexandra’s speech touched on the idea that the program takes its participants out of the echo chambers within which they work, exposing them to new ideas, bringing clarity and purpose.

“TIME gives you a sense of what’s possible”, said Alexandra.

A passionate advocate for mentoring, Penny Spencer said, “Developing my own leadership skills took a long time. Almost an entire career, in fact, and it has fuelled my passion to accelerate the careers of others.

“TIME is now a respected hot-house of development for aspiring travel industry leaders who have the opportunity to access the industry’s best minds in the process”, says Penny.
