To raise awareness in the trade community, Trafalgar is organising an action and awareness campaign, releasing weekly content aimed at inspiring Travel Advisor partners.

The easy, actionable tips are designed to pique their interest on how to live and travel more sustainably.

Trafalgar will also be releasing an Advisor’s Guide to Making a Difference on Earth Day (April 22).

The guide is full of simple tips and small changes Travel Advisors and other customer-facing members of the industry can make that can have a big impact.

By educating on the fundamentals of sustainable tourism, it aims to empower them to act as ambassadors of responsible travel to their customers.

“The creation of Earth Day in 1970 marked a shift in the global mentality from consumption to conservation. Now, almost five decades later, it’s more apparent than ever that to save the planet, urgent changes are needed,” Trafalgar’s CEO Gavin Tollman said.

“It’s 2019, it’s not optional and we need to lead from the front. We are always looking for ways to arm our agent partners with the tools to practice and promote responsible travel. The creation of this sustainability guide is an extension of our mission to enact meaningful change.”
