By Nahrain John @karryontravel17 Jun 2019You know the saying, the one about firsts & how you never forget them. Well, it’s true. Most firsts never leave us whether they be a first kiss, a taste of alcohol, university degree, job, marriage or holiday. For Travel Agents, there are two firsts in their career which they’ll always remember (hopefully with fondness), the inaugural day of work and the inaugural famil.Although both are special, the latter holds particular significance to consultants because it’s a physical representation of why they joined the industry, to mix hard work with travel. We were keen to find out where Travel Agents popped their familiarisation cherry – especially after learning one will spend hers in Antarctica – and quickly learned that they weren’t just memorable because they were the first but because they were bloody epic! Here are a few of the best inaugural fam-trips Agents have been on (tell us if yours was better below): Lucky Lesley spent her first fam-trip in Santa Monica AND Disneyland… Even luckier Lauren managed to get to Disneyland too BUT she did it in Business Class… Joanne was fortunate enough to tick off the City of Stars & lay back in Hawaii… While Ben was invited to see the darker side of Los Angeles during a Halloween special… Let the jaws drop because charmed Candice was flown all the way to Madagascar… While Liana got to see South Africa, which was, unsurprisingly, amazing… Tahiti was on the card for Meg who says she’s “never seen anything so spectacular” since… While South America was the spot for Jessica… BJ Knight’s doubled up as his inaugural overseas trip EVER & where better to start than Bali… And Amanda wouldn’t change her first fam-trip to Vietnam & Cambodia for anywhere in the world…There were SO MANY MORE epic trips, click here to read them all or add your own.
