To all those Flight Centre Travel Agents who doubted KARRYON’s psychic abilities, WE WERE RIGHT! We were so right, again (because we also correctly predicted Kylie Minogue for Global 2018).
Flight Centre Travel Group’s annual Global Gathering was held over the weekend where not one, not two, not three, but FOUR celebrities took part (and that’s just based off what we can see on Instagram), including Calvin Harris who KARRYON foresaw.
But let’s rewind back to Friday night.
Thousands of Flight Centre Travel Group employees flew to the Entertainment Capital of the World aka Las Vegas and immediately stripped down into their bikinis for the American Airlines sponsored pool party at the MGM Grand.
While enjoying welcome cocktails, reuniting with colleagues from around the world and lazing around on American-themed blow-up floats…
The first celebrity, DIPLO, emerged with his DJ Deck and tunes…

Between shots and fresh dance moves, a second celebrity made an appearance – Flight Centre’s Founder, Graham Turner.
The Managing Director’s arrival saw consultants re-introduce an annual Global Gathering tradition – taking Skroofies! And there were plenty to be found like this one…

With hangovers and sore feet, the entire group managed to pull themselves out of bed the next morning for a stroll through Vegas in country-representing gear to officially kick off the conference in their traditional way…

Then it was between inspirational speakers and group-wide updates that Marky Mark aka Mark Wahlberg emerged on stage…
Of course, there was an eruption of cheers and applause for the actor who was described as “interesting, humble and passionate”.
The actor touched on avoiding regrets and working with people you aspire to work with, as well as thinking outside the box.
What a day!

It was at the annual award night that the travel group’s bosses revealed that they’re returning home to Brisbane by hosting Global Gathering in the city next year.
Can’t wait to see what they pull out of the hat for the Australia-based gathering next year, but the 2019 event wasn’t yet over because Tiesto walked out on stage for an epic DJ set…
