What and when was your first role in tourism

My first role in tourism was as a site rep for contiki in the Swiss Alps. I made scrambled eggs in the morning and cooked dinner as well.

If you weren’t in tourism, what would you be doing?

I would be teaching. That’s what I did before. I was a high school teacher which I loved but I went travelling and found that I could get a job doing that.

How has the industry changed you?

It’s broadened my horizons to the whole world, as opposed to growing up in Sydney.

Tell us one of your ‘never fail’ travel hacks…

I always try to pack a change of clothes in my overnight bag whenever flying.

What’s the #1 country on your bucketlist

Croatia! I’ve spent a lot of time in Europe but never got there.

What’s your favourite quote or motto?

“If you’re not taking care of a guest directly, you should be taking care of someone who is”, so I always try to do that, and think about that when doing my job.

And here’s the QuickFire round!
