Top selling Qantas Holidays, Sunlover Holidays & associated brands Travel Agents couldn’t have received a warmer (literally) welcome into Hamilton Island on Friday, where they were showered with prizes, entertainment & cocktails.
Dozens of consultants along with a team of generous suppliers touched down in Hamilton Island to some 29-degrees sunshine – a welcome climactic change for most arriving from chilling temperatures down south.
As per Global Stars’ standard arrival treatment, consultants were treated to a welcome cocktail…
Before heading to the Outrigger for lunch and more cocktails…
From there, the real star treatment began as Travel Agents took part in THE BEST supplier sessions in travel history.
What made them so memorable?
Well, first suppliers were split into three groups of five and placed in three different locations.
Second, Travel Agents were chauffeured to each location via buggies, which were driven by members of the wholesale teams.
Even Helloworld Travel Limited’s Cinzia Burnes & Andrew Burnes took turns at being chauffeurs! Sadly, we didn’t get pics of them in action (if you have one please share them – email them to: editor@karryon.com.au #muchappreciated).
Third, one group of suppliers were set up outside where consultants could absorb the sun, nature, fresh air and views, while learning about travel product.
Fourth, there were cocktails!

Once all information was digested, consultants checked into their rooms, freshened up and headed downstairs for a beach-side dinner.
It began as a peaceful evening as Agents chatted over beef, pork and seafood dishes, laughed over delicious cheese trays, sipped on their cocktails and rejoiced over the half a dozen-or-so prizes given away.
Of course, not everyone could win on the first night. But there’s always more chances tomorrow.
Just when it looked like it might be time to wrap up day one, consultants were called on back to the Outrigger for an after-party featuring a DJ, great company and… you guessed it, alcohol!
