It’s Global Travel Advisor Day today – 7 May – and Expedia Group is doubling down on its commitment to the Australia and New Zealand travel agent community with exclusive events plus new Expedia TAAP upgrades to support personal business growth for travel professionals.
Aussie advisors can look forward to an expanded Expedia Travel Agent Affiliate Program (TAAP) platform that now includes UAE, offering more access to inventory, along with the launch of new flexible payment options, such as deferred payments and bank transfers, where accepted.
Travel advisors can book accommodation up to 365 days in advance and also make post-booking itinerary changes.

Best of all, advisors can now take advantage of the new agency service charge feature, allowing agents to add a discretionary fee to accommodation bookings and increase earnings on the platform.
Expedia Group will also host exclusive gatherings for Global Travel Advisor Day to show their appreciation for agents and showcase new products and enhancements to the Expedia TAAP booking platform across hotels, holiday rentals, flights, packages, car hire and activities.

Expedia TAAP Vice President Robin Lawther said: “Global Travel Advisor Day is an opportunity for Expedia Group to celebrate and support travel agents worldwide.
“We’re reinforcing our commitment by expanding into new markets and launching initiatives that help agents attract customers, personalise experiences and grow their businesses.

“By investing in tools that improve cash flow management and create new revenue opportunities, we’re empowering them to thrive in an evolving industry,” he said.
Expedia Group recently relaunched its revamped Expedia TAAP Academy for agents.
