Tour operators Globus and Cosmos have fundraised AUD$100,000 for charity partner UNICEF Australia since June 2022, achieving the major milestone thanks to matching donations for client bookings.

Parent company Globus family of brands (GFOB) has donated to UNICEF Australia for every passenger booked on a Globus or Cosmos tour since June 2022 with guest bookings helping to support children around the world.

In addition to set donations contributed by GFOB, guests can also donate here.

GFOB’s fundraising support provides the equivalent of 163,934 sachets of therapeutic food to children in need, enabling them to fight malnutrition in emergency situations.

The partnership shows the company’s commitment to its Lighthouse Project initiative and its three give-back categories – People, Planet and Places, aimed to help travellers come together to give generously for the globe’s greater good.

GFOB Managing Director Asia Pacific Gai Tyrrell said: “We are thrilled to have been able to provide support in a meaningful way to our valued partners at UNICEF Australia and cannot thank our customers enough for their involvement in helping us reach this milestone.”

“This milestone is a shared achievement between our team and every single guest who has travelled with us.

“We are proud to support UNICEF Australia directly and look forward to seeing the impact fundraising milestones such as this one have on communities of children around the world as part of UNICEF Australia’s vital work.”

UNICEF Australia CEO Tony Stuart thanked GFOB Australia and its customers for their support, fundraising efforts and partnership.

“UNICEF Australia is a champion for children everywhere and this generosity is what allows us to be able to protect, drive change and reach some of the world’s most vulnerable children. We look forward to seeing the impact this partnership will continue to have in the future.”
