We’ve got some massively exciting plans for 2023 and are on the hunt for a Sydney-based Business Development Manager to become an integral member of the team.

Your key purpose will be to drive and manage the sustainable growth and success of Karryon’s partnership offerings via sales; work with the team to evolve Karryon through partnership opportunities with new and existing stakeholders and sponsors; and bring fresh ideas and activity as you seek new partners and business leads.

Here’s what you’ll need to apply:

  • 2 years minimum of experience in a BDM/Partnerships/Sales role
  • Relevant experience in a digital media, publication, creative and/or event sales environment
  • Team player DNA
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for working with people
  • Ideally, a minimum 5 years of experience and understanding of the travel/lifestyle industry eco-system
  • A demonstrated ability to strategically future proof business in a previous role
  • A successful track record of sales conversion
  • Own social media footprint and personal brand highly desirable

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting across multiple areas of the business primarily within partnership, event and sales opportunities
  • Prospecting, maintaining and growing relationships with key partners
  • Working closely with the partnership and events managers developing strategic and creative solutions for partners’ campaigns
  • Working cohesively with partnership, production and editorial teams to align partner expectations and liaise with partners on creative/campaign concepts
  • Producing and delivering proposals, pitch documents and post campaign reports for partners
  • Managing and updating weekly sales statistics in Karryon’s platforms to report to the team
  • Managing and producing invoicing, booking forms and signed proposals
  • Providing market intelligence on market trends and industry trends
  • Identify opportunities to grow and develop Karryon 
  • Occasionally attending industry events and conferences as a Karryon ambassador
