Australian’s in a hurry to get back to Hawai’i

This exclusive campaign and incentive reinforce The Travel Junction’s commitment to helping Australians return to the Hawai’ian Islands. It coincides with Hawai’i Tourism Authority’s Malama Hawai’i Campaign. This exciting initiative encourages visitors to give back to Hawaii’s environment, locals, and industries by volunteering some of their vacation time towards community programs. Malama is about visitors creating a meaningful exchange with the destination and connecting with and loving Hawaii as much as the locals do.

During the recent campaign launch in Brisbane, Jennifer Gaskin, Account Director for Hawai’i Tourism Oceania said, “Hawai’i is ready and open to welcome back visitors from across the world – particularly Australia. Our travel advisor partners are key to our tourism industry’s recovery and ongoing success and we’re so excited that the Hawaiian Islands have begun to welcome back so many travellers from Australia. Pre-pandemic, Hawai’i, like many destinations was suffering from over-tourism, so they used the break in tourism as a time to reset and relook at how they wanted tourism to be sustainable. As a result, there have been new initiatives over the past couple of years – including Malama Hawaii.”
