Hold onto your cowboy hats ladies and gentlemen, because the Visit USA Expo is coming to our shores soon, and it’s going to be a real hoot!
The Visit USA Expos are the biggest events on the industry calendar – period. And you wouldn’t expect any different when the Americans come to town.
After all: bigger is better, right?!
Organised by Visit USA (Australia), a voluntary body promoting all things America, the expos will feature up to 50 US travel suppliers who will be exhibiting their goods across the expo series in major Australian cities.
And next year, this will include Perth, Adelaide and the Gold Coast, in addition to expo staples Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
Dates and venues for 2020 are below:
- Perth – Monday 10 February, Hyatt Regency
- Adelaide – Tuesday 11 February, Stamford Hotel
- Gold Coast – Wednesday 12 February, QT Hotel
- Brisbane – Monday 17 February, The Westin
- Melbourne – Tuesday 18 February, Palladium at Crown
- Sydney – Wednesday 19 February, Luna Park
Representatives from Qantas and American Airlines, the official event sponsors, will be in attendance at each expo, educating agents on their exciting new routes which have significantly reduced travel time between Australia and the USA.
They’ll also bring agents up to speed on all the other perks for the Australian traveller from this joint venture, such as lower fares and earning frequent flyer miles.
The new expo format has been modified based on agent feedback, so you’re going to want to attend this one.

Meet Tom Cruise (well, a damn good impersonator anyway)
His birth certificate reads Jerome LeBlanc, but you can call him Cruise, Tom Cruise.
Regarded as the best Tom Cruise impersonator in the world, Jerome will be making an appearance at the Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane expos, endowing the expo with real Top Gun flair.
Whilst there, he’ll be on the lookout for the expo’s “Top Agents,” so make you go along, give “Mr Cruise” a captain’s salute, and possibly grab a selfie with this fine-looking specimen!
Attend a “TEDTalk” style presentation that will captivate
Forget about those boring, yawn-inducing presentations. Because next year, Visit USA will be putting on three punchy, interactive and informative presentation sessions that will entertain and educate agents on the burning issues currently at play within the travel landscape.
These will kick off at 6 pm. Although optional to attend, agents are advised to check them out, as only agents that attend these engaging talks are eligible for some amazing prizes…
