Bringing its Queensland members together with more than 16 key suppliers for the first time, itravel hosted an exclusive networking event in Brisbane with agents travelling all the way from the Sunshine Coast and Redcliffe Peninsula to attend.
Queensland has increased its membership base by 50 per cent over the past year, emerging as a rapidly growing market for the independent travel franchise and mobile travel agent network, and the company expects more expansion to come.
The networking event showcases itravel’s commitment to providing growth opportunities, fostering connections and increasing the knowledge base for its members, such as the iLEARN: LiVE 2024 event in Sydney.
The Brisbane event provided valuable networking opportunities for members to meet with key suppliers with attendees providing positive feedback.
Suppliers included representatives from Bunnik Tours, Carnival Cruise Line, Collette, CVFR Ticketing, Globus family of brands, GO Insurance, Intrepid Travel, Linkd Tourism, MSC Cruises, Royal Caribbean International, Scenic Group, Shangri-La Group, Singapore Airlines, The Travel Corporation and United Airlines.
The itravel head office senior team was also in attendance, including CEO Steve Labroski, COO Joe Karbo, BDM Jo Howard and Head of Commercial Josh Gordon.
Howard said: “It was truly special and an incredible success to host our first event in Queensland. It was inspiring to see our members and industry partners come together, forging new connections and strengthening existing ones; the energy in the room was palpable.”
Last month, five itravel agents travelled to New York City on an exclusive six-day famil.
