Travel Counsellors’ conference in Adelaide over the weekend was jam-packed full of learning, networking and fun with a massive $100,000 in prizes given away to travel consultants.
A total of 220 delegates including Travel Counsellors and their partners, business leaders, the support team, supplier partners and the media gathered at the Pullman Adelaide for the two-day event.
Travel Counsellors’ Regional Managing Director Kaylene Shuttlewood commented on the importance of having the TC community together.
“It’s really important that we are all surrounded by this TC community and likeminded people, those who want to give all of the platforms, all of the tools and all of the support a go.”

Over the weekend Travel Counsellors’ were inspired by their charismatic CEO Steve Byrne, keynote speaker and high-performance coach Emma Murray and many more speakers.
We also learned that the crew from head office have skills… from dancing in a flash mob to wowing us with their incredible singing voices.
The supplier expo known as Pow Wow was also fruitful for the suppliers and Travel Counsellors alike.
“The suppliers commented to me that they could really feel that TC community when TC’s came up and talked to them, they were genuinely interested in their product, wanting to know more and thanking them for their support,” TC’s Regional Managing Director Kaylene Shuttlewood said.
Delegates made the most of the sensational South Australia wine on offer with a fabulous welcome function at Adelaide’s National Wine Centre and an even more glamorous gala dinner and awards night at The Pullman Hotel.
During the weekend 10 Travel Counsellors snagged themselves places to attend the TC 25 Year Anniversary conference in Manchester and take a tour of Northern Island and 14 others won themselves incredible trips donated by suppliers.
The 10 top sellers also scored themselves a trip to beautiful Hawaii. Next year the incentive trip is to Tahiti!
The conference wrapped up with annual awards presented including Best Leisure TC, Best Corporate TC, Best Digital, Best Margin, Best Newcomer, Best Business Increase, Most helpful TC, Top TC Referrer and Supplier of the Year. The winners are pictured with Kaylene and Steve below.
