Adelaide based Journey Beyond has created a powerful video to highlight both the devastating effect of continued lockdowns on the travel industry and the urgent need to reach the Australian vaccination target so we can all get back to doing what we love.

Adelaide based Journey Beyond has created a powerful video to highlight both the devastating effect of continued lockdowns on the travel industry and the urgent need to reach the Australian vaccination target so we can all get back to doing what we love.

The stirring two-minute video features staff from the company’s head office and various operations across their expansive Australian brand portfolio, including The Ghan, Sal Salis, Outback Spirit, Rottnest Express, Darwin Harbour Cruises and Cruise Whitsundays.

Like so many other travel and tourism businesses, Journey Beyond has been severely affected throughout the last 18 months by being forced to stop and start their operations with minimal notice and support.

This video aims to be a rallying cry from the Journey Beyond team to bring the plight of the collective industry to the fore while supporting the goal for Australians to reach the vaccination target, ease restrictions and get the nation moving again.

Leading the video is General Manager, Sales at Journey Beyond, Alica Triggs, who does a fantastic job of delivering a much-needed message with passion and a smile.

“For Journey Beyond, it’s simple. We need the borders open to operate,” says Ms Triggs in the video.

“We don’t want to have to call anymore of our guests and tell them they can’t go on their holidays of a lifetime,”

“And we don’t want to stand down, anymore of our staff,” she adds.

“Journey Beyond, like many of our industry partners, has felt the effects of the pandemic throughout the business. We’re here to encourage everyone who can and when you can to help get us to get to 80% so we can get back to doing what we do best – sharing unique places and shaping lasting memories.

“Although our brands are spread far and wide across Australia, we’ve come together in this video to show our support for the importance of reaching the vaccine goal, as the benefits of the jab also go beyond our health and safety.”

The video has gone live on Journey Beyond’s social media channels and already received a hugely positive response from customers, staff and the industry alike.
