After action-packed events in Brisbane and Melbourne this week, hosting around 150 travel advisors at each Expo, the Visit USA Expo 2022 Series concluded in Sydney last night as a smashing success with 200 agents and 30-plus exhibitors in attendance.

Japan’s Fukuoka & Oita Prefectures wine and dine Brissie advisors

Fukuoka & Oita Prefectures welcomed wholesalers, tour operators and agents for an evening of Japanese tastes at Brisbane’s Yoko Dining and to discover more about the prefectures, located on Kyushu Islands, as Japan prepares for a full reopening.

South African Tourism treated 2,000 guests to an immersive afternoon of South African culinary delights and entertainment at The Argyle at The Rocks in Sydney in celebration of the new Network 10 series, Food Trail: South Africa, hosted by South African-born chef Warren Mendes.

TAT plants 1,000 trees in Vic, highlighting Thailand’s 7 Greens campaign

On National Tree Day, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) joined forces with Koala Clancy Foundation and travel trade volunteers to plant 1,000 trees, helping to restore vital koala habitat in regional Victoria, followed by a delectable Thai lunch and a koala-spotting walking tour of the You Yangs.

TAT recently launched the 7 Greens campaign: Green Heart, Green Logistics, Green Attraction, Green Activity, Green Community, Green Service, Green Plus, which encourages resorts and tourism operators to adopt more sustainable strategies for the future.
