Link Travel Group has announced a future-focused partnership with Flight Centre Travel Academy to attract and train next-gen advisors and industry leaders, which will include a two-year internship in member agencies and ultimately an agency role.
The innovative internship program will allow recruits to study part-time and work part-time in a Link Travel Group agency for a holistic, hands-on learning experience.
At the end of their internship, candidates will receive a university-level diploma in Travel & Tourism and a role within a member agency.
Likewise, Link Travel Group members will have the ability to select dedicated and enthusiastic candidates for their agencies from across Australia.
Through this unique initiative, agency leaders will have the ability to train and nurture candidates, empowering them to become high-performing travel professionals.
Link Travel Group General Manager Scott Darlow said the program offered a solution to the ongoing issue of staff recruitment and retention within the travel sector and benefits both the agencies and candidates.
“Through this internship program, member agencies will be able to bring on new staff and build select candidates up to a high-performance level, aligned with their existing agency objectives,” he said.
“Candidates will get the best of both worlds: a highly sought-after university level diploma, courtesy of the Flight Centre Travel Academy, and on-the-job training in some of the nation’s most preeminent travel agencies.”
