Virtuoso Travel Week 2023 is underway! The 35th annual trade showcase is hosting 5,000-plus travel professionals from 105 countries (including many from Australia) for a packed hybrid event lineup of sessions, speakers and 180,000-plus appointments from 12-18 August in Las Vegas.

Staged at Bellagio Resort & Casino, ARIA Resort & Casino and Vdara Hotel & Spa, Virtuoso Travel Week (VTW) has attracted around 2,100 company reps to engage in person and online.

The event enables attendees to establish and strengthen relationships, increase knowledge and drive sales with some of the world’s best luxury and experiential travel companies.

What’s new at Virtuoso Travel Week

This year’s VTW also allowed more opportunities to customise the event experience for individual success.

The week-long program started with Globetrotting sessions where more than 900 Virtuoso members participated in niche-focused interest groups with select partners.

Additionally, the luxury network staged its second annual Tech Summit, attracting established companies and startups focused on the travel planning experience.

Virtuoso also announced the first phase of its Tech Partner Program, which is similar to other preferred partner supplier relationships with preferential pricing and enhanced service.

What’s working

During the opening session, Virtuoso Executive Vice President David Kolner shared industry insights and member sentiment, noting that 93 per cent of Australian agency owners and managers feel positive about their businesses.

Virtuoso Senior VP of Marketing Helen McCabe-Young also spoke about focusing on attracting high-value travellers to benefit advisors and partners.

Virtuoso continues to expand its global footprint with non-US agents now accounting for 46 per cent of all advisors worldwide.
