MAJOR MOVES: TravelManagers’ HUGE digital revamp gives Agents more freedom

'If it's not online, does it even exist? And if it is online but doesn't appear all that professional, isn't it kind of dodgy?' Digital presence can make a company, but it can also break it if it doesn't right.

‘If it’s not online, does it even exist? And if it is online but doesn’t appear all that professional, isn’t it kind of dodgy?’ Digital presence can make a company, but it can also break it if it doesn’t right.

TravelManagers is ensuring its online presence is on the side of ‘right’ with a major revamp of its stand-alone Agent websites, which will put consultants in the best position to attract and retain clients.

Unveiled this morning, the new-look sites go above and beyond the previous static profile pages by giving Personal Travel Managers the freedom of personalisation through multiple web pages where they can upload specialist content, deals, publish blogs and offer travel advice.

In line with current online trends, Travel Agents can also receive notifications via the new individual sites and share videos.

TravelManagers’ Executive General Manager, Michael Gazal, said this greater functionality allows consultants to showcase their individual personalities and in turn, give clients a better idea of who their Travel Agent is and what he/she can provide.

“[This] increases their relevance to their specific target market – something that’s key in digital search.”

He continued, saying that almost everything on the website can be personalised, even the site colours and images.

“There’s even spaces for client testimonials, photo albums and even live social media feeds.”

Personal Travel Manager (PTM) for Belmont in NSW, Natalie Miller, said she’s thrilled with the new technology because it providers her with the digital ownership she needs to tell her clients to “go to my website, which a powerful took in this digital age”.

Queensland-based PTM, Justine Trevenar agreed, saying she loves the individualised website because it’s a reflection of her.

“For me, being able to add my own content is one of the main highlights of the new technology,” she said.

“I can talk about my last or next trip, and if I’m hosting a travel exhibition or information night I can promote that too.”
