Rugby World Champions Fiji take safety to the air

As the nation continues to celebrate the Fiji Sevens glorious Series win, Fiji Airways has released a new in-flight video featuring the current champions.

As the nation continues to celebrate the Fiji Sevens glorious Series win, Fiji Airways has released a new in-flight video featuring the current champions.

Following the trend of Air New Zealand and more recently Delta Airlines in turning dull in-flight videos into informative entertainment, Fiji Airways have launched their own Pacific flavoured 7 tips on how to fly like a Fijian version featuring the famous ‘Flying Fijians’ team.

Featuring now legendary coach Ben Ryan, the world-famous ‘Flying Fijians’ and staff from the airline, Fly Like A Fijian is a must-watch guide for anyone who wants to be a winner when they fly.

From making boarding fuss-free to keeping a flight friendly and the conversation flowing, the new Fiji Airways video demonstrates the simple (and naturally safest!) things you can do to ensure a great flight experience on-board.

“Fiji Airways are proud sponsors of Fiji Rugby and the Vodafone Fiji Sevens team, and we wanted to work with them to help educate passengers on the simple things they can do to ensure the smoothest flying experience. By keeping in mind these seven tips, everyone’s a winner when they fly,”

Stefan Pichler, Fiji Airways Board Director.

The video features squad players players including Samisoni Viriviri, Jerry Tuwai and Vatemo Ravuvou and is Fiji Airways’ first foray into a more humorous approach to their in-flight entertainment.

My favourite is tip no.3 – Talk to your neighbour. All too often the days the art of conversation is lost when you fly so it’s great to see Fiji Airways bringing back the importance of having a chat with your fellow passengers and sharing the experience. Nice one.
