DriveAway has named Simone Barnett as its new Business Development Manager for Queensland and the Northern Territory, tasking the Brisbane-based travel pro with strengthening trade partnerships across the region.
Barnett brings more than two decades of industry experience to the role, backed by qualifications in both travel and tourism and sales and marketing.
Starting as a consultant before moving into business development, Driveaway says Simone has built a reputation for delivering growth and forging long-term agent relationships.
Her appointment signals the company’s ongoing commitment to agent support, with Barnett set to focus on training, product knowledge and helping partners unlock sales opportunities.
According to the company, she has already singled out DriveAway’s European Car Leasing program as a standout, positioning it as a flexible way for travellers to experience the continent.
ATAS-accredited agents across Queensland and the NT can expect to see more of Barnett in the coming months, as she works directly with the trade to boost awareness and engagement with DriveAway’s wide-ranging product line.
