Golden Eagle Luxury Trains has cemented its local sales presence, onboarding sales specialist Megan Bardsley as its new Business Development Manager for the Australian and New Zealand market.

Based in Queensland Ms Bardsley will assist the luxury private rail operator to expand its reach in the local market, providing support to travel advisors and direct connection to its itineraries.

Ms Bardsley has a long association with the UK-based Golden Eagle, including a prior role as Marketing Director where she helped expand its presence in the luxury rail travel market along with other travel and hospitality industry roles, including as Emotional Wellbeing Manager at Gwinganna Lifestyle Retreat.

Her extensive understanding and experience with luxury rail travel make her the ideal choice for this key role.

Golden Eagle Luxury Trains 2024 journeys begin in April with an array of fully inclusive itineraries across Europe, Central Asia and India. Further expansion is underway for new destinations and packages planned in 2025 and 2026.

Ms Bardsley said she was excited to return to the world of luxury trains and work alongside the UK Golden Eagle team.

“This type of experiential travel is so special and I love being able to share what our trains offer. We are seeing incredible demand for these extraordinary bucket-list journeys,” she said.

“What Golden Eagle trains bring to travellers is high-value, luxury travel with unique moments exploring some of the world’s most exquisite places aboard a moving luxury hotel on wheels.

“We know Australians are ready to explore new destinations in stylish comfort with exceptional inclusions. My role will make the reservations process even easier and help support agents here.”
