Newly minted Heritage Expeditions Sales Manager Australia Chris le Rous has jump-started his appointment by hosting a New Zealand famil aboard the small-ship cruise company’s flagship Heritage Adventurer.
Based in Queensland, Mr le Roux joins recently announced Head of Global Sales Robert Halfpenny as the NZ-based, family-owned expedition cruise company expands into the Australian market.
Mr le Roux joins the company after a 10-month stint as Business Development Manager at Evolution Travel Collective and similar roles at Bench Africa, Globus family of brands, On the Go Tours and Contiki.
Heritage Expeditions Director Aaron Russ said Mr le Roux’s industry credentials, extensive contacts, knowledge and track record spanning more than 20 years made him the natural choice for the key role in the company’s growth strategy.
“Chris is a highly thought-of key player in the travel industry and we are delighted to welcome him to the Heritage Expeditions family and look forward to working with him and Robert during this exciting growth phase,” he said.
Currently hosting 11 ANZ trade partners on a 15-day The Best of New Zealand voyage over the next three weeks, Mr le Roux said he was thrilled to join the expedition cruise company.
