Intrepid Travel has elevated Dr Susanne Etti as General Manager Climate as the B Corp rolls out its updated Climate Action Plan. The move includes a company restructure to fast-track the transition to a lower-carbon business.

Formerly Intrepid’s Environmental Impact Manager, Dr Etti will lead the newly established Climate Department to implement Intrepid’s accelerated decarbonisation roadmap and oversee allocation of the new AUD$2 million per year Climate Impact Fund.

This follows Intrepid’s recent decision to sunset its carbon offset program for direct decarbonisation investment and a lifecycle-based carbon intensity reduction target.

The Climate Department will also be responsible for carbon and risk reporting and drive climate advocacy within the company and sector, supporting practical, immediate emissions reductions across the business and its supplier network.
