Movers + Shakers: Journey Beyond onboards three new non-executive directors

Journey Beyond has appointed well-known Australian tourism industry leaders Michael Issenberg, Giselle Collins and Andrew McEvoy as Non-Executive Directors to its Board, bringing diverse portfolio experience across hospitality, property and e-commerce.

Journey Beyond has appointed well-known Australian tourism industry leaders Michael Issenberg, Giselle Collins and Andrew McEvoy as Non-Executive Directors to its Board, bringing diverse portfolio experience across hospitality, property and e-commerce.

The three board members were selected for their extensive experience in domestic tourism and hospitality, aligning with the company’s brand position and endorsing its Australian travel offerings to domestic and international travellers.

Journey Beyond brands include The Ghan, Indian Pacific and Great Southern rail journeys; Outback Spirit, Sal Salis and Cruise Whitsundays, to name a few.

One of the most respected leaders in Australian tourism and hospitality, TFE Hotels and Star Entertainment Group Director Michael Issenberg is also a previous Tourism Australia Chair and spent 26 years at Accor Asia Pacific as Chair and CEO.

Hotel Property Investments Chair Giselle Collins is a non-executive Director with significant executive experience in property, tourism and financial services, including KPMG and NRMA Motoring & Services and as Chair of Travelodge Hotel Group.

Andrew McEvoy is well-known as a former Tourism Australia Managing Director, Sealink Chair of Sealink and Voyages Indigenous Tourism Australia Director. He is currently the Chair of Luxury Escapes and Camplify and brings more than 30 years’ experience.
