Well-known travel PR professional Leanne Fonagy has joined Norwegian Cruise Line as its new in-house Public Relations Manager for the APAC region. Fonagy previously represented NCL as the PR account lead at Anne Wild & Associates.
Ms Fonagy brings extensive travel and cruise PR expertise to the in-house role at NCL, including the past two years at Anne Wild & Associates (AWA) and more than six years with Silversea Cruises.
AWA has been NCL’s PR representative in Australia and New Zealand since the cruise company’s local market launch in 2015 and will continue to work with Norwegian Cruise Line.
Ms Fonagy said: “I have thoroughly enjoyed working with NCL over the past two years and am delighted to join the team in a new capacity to further strengthen the brand in the APAC region while continuing to work hand-in-hand with the expert team at AWA.”

“With a raft of milestone moments and projects in the pipeline, such as the imminent launch of new ship Norwegian Viva and the return of Norwegian Spirit for her second local season later this year, this is an exciting time to come on board.”
Of the new appointment, NCL APAC VP and MD Ben Angell said: “Leanne has earnt her excellent reputation in the ANZ cruise industry.”

NCL revealed it will have three ships deployed in the APAC region in 2024-25.
