Rocky Mountaineer has welcomed new Vice President, Global Sales Violet Thumlert on board, who brings 20 years' sales experience to the luxury rail company and will work with international sales teams to grow awareness and sales worldwide.

Rocky Mountaineer has welcomed new Vice President, Global Sales Violet Thumlert on board, who brings 20 years’ sales experience to the luxury rail company and will work with international sales teams to grow awareness and sales worldwide.

Based in Canada, Ms Thumlert recently spent 12 years with global experience specialist Pursuit Collection in senior sales roles, driving high-volume sales and making a pivotal contribution to the company’s growth.

She will work closely with the Asia-Pacific team of Regional Sales Manager Tony Soden and Sales Coordinator Neryl Chamber, who joined Rocky Mountaineer in July, to raise brand awareness and drive sales in the APAC market.

Rocky Mountaineer CEO and President David McKenna said he was pleased to welcome Ms Thumlert to lead the global sales team.

“Violet brings strong relationships with many of our trade partners and a wealth of knowledge in growing sales across all channels and markets. I am confident our partners, guests, and team members will be in great hands with Violet’s leadership,” he said.

As a sales professional, passionate traveller and outdoor enthusiast, Ms Thumlert described her new role at Rocky Mountaineer as a career milestone.
