Movers + Shakers: TTC taps Tomas Malmberg & Marija Tolj to head up ANZ sales

The Travel Corporation (TTC) has bolstered its International Tour Brands leadership with the internal appointment of Tomas Malmberg to Head of Trade Sales & Partnerships Australia and Marija Tolj to Head of Trade Sales & Partnerships New Zealand.

The Travel Corporation (TTC) has bolstered its International Tour Brands leadership with the internal appointment of Tomas Malmberg to Head of Trade Sales & Partnerships Australia and Marija Tolj to Head of Trade Sales & Partnerships New Zealand.

The promotions recognise two of TTC’s most well-known and rewarded sales executives, boosting the experience and leadership of the Australian and New Zealand sales teams and reporting to General Manager Sales Oceania Andrew Young.

Mr Malmberg will manage a team of 10 Australian sales managers and previously held the roles of National Manager Key Accounts & Development and Insight Vacations Queensland Senior Sales Manager within TTC.

Mr Young said: “Tomas has a natural mentoring demeanour and his ability to develop and support our growing sales team as well as maintain important relationships with our key partners makes him an obvious choice for setting our team up for success in the long term.”

“We believe many future successful industry careers and achievements will have their origins under the tutelage of Tomas, and we are very lucky to have him impart his knowledge and experience across our suite of coach touring brands.”

Ms Tolj, a longtime TTC Senior Sales Executive, will similarly be responsible for developing and mentoring the NZ sales team in her new role as Head of Trade Sales & Partnerships New Zealand.

TTC Tour Brands Oceania Managing Director Toni Ambler said the promotions follow the division restructure to allow easier access for travel agency partners and highlight the heightened demand across the five tour brands for 2023 against 2019 levels.

“The opportunity to reassess the leadership and structure of the sales team as outbound touring comes back strongly led to the decision to promote two well-known TTC family members to better support our trade sales teams in Australia and New Zealand and further embed our commitment to supporting our retail partners in both markets.”
