Qantas has added Darsh Chapman as Regional General Manager for the UK, Europe, Middle East and Africa, starting August 2025 from its London office. Chapman succeeds Georgia Blackburn, who led the markets for three years.

With a background that includes senior roles in the carrier’s sales and distribution team, Chapman joins from Qantas’ Global Airports leadership, bringing strong operational and commercial experience.

According to Qantas, the move aligns with its regional expansion strategy. The carrier recently celebrated its first year of Paris-Perth direct flights, will launch its Johannesburg-Perth route in December and will continue preparing for Project Sunrise with non‑stop flights between Australia’s east coast and London.

In the new role, Chapman will focus on deepening Qantas’ presence across established and emerging markets, building the brand, and reinforcing partnerships with the UK, the Middle East and Africa.

“We are delighted to have Darsh taking on this important role leading our teams across the UK, Europe and Africa,” Qantas Executive Manager Global Sales and Distribution Kathryn Robertson said.

“She brings extensive operational expertise from her leadership of our global airports, combined with strong commercial experience and deep knowledge of our business and customers.

“Darsh will play a key role as we continue to strengthen our presence and partnerships across these important markets, building on the solid foundation established during Georgia’s tenure.”

“Having worked closely with our airport and commercial teams globally, I’m looking forward to building on our strong relationships with partners and stakeholders across the region as we continue to grow our presence and deliver exceptional experiences for our customers.”
