With a new ship on the horizon, Regent Seven Seas Cruises has named Anji Montgomerie (née Tierney) as its new Senior Business Development Manager for Queensland and the Northern Territory.

Montgomerie brings more than 15 years of industry experience to the role, including business development positions at the Globus family of brands and Bench Africa, as well as several years in store leadership at Flight Centre across Queensland and New South Wales.

She joins the luxury cruise line during a period of strategic expansion ahead of the 2026 launch of its newest ship, Seven Seas Prestige™.

Key relationships in key regions

In her new position, Montgomerie will manage Regent’s trade relationships across Queensland and the Northern Territory. Based on the Gold Coast, she will work closely with travel advisors to grow the line’s regional footprint and support partner success in the high-end cruise space.

“Regent Seven Seas Cruises is delighted to welcome Anji to the Australian Sales Team,” said Lisa Pile, Vice President of Sales & General Manager, Asia Pacific.

“Anji will be a huge asset to our business bringing a deep understanding of the travel industry to the role at a time when the company is entering an exciting new phase.”

“I am also looking forward to Anji’s fresh perspective and harnessing her passion for travel having explored around 100 countries.”

Montgomerie said she was “thrilled to be joining the Regent Seven Seas Cruises team and working with existing and new partners across the region.”

“This new role will allow me to transfer my skills gained in other areas of the travel industry to the luxury ocean cruise sector,” she said.

From tours to ultra-luxury

Montgomerie joins Regent after nearly four years with Globus, where she managed trade relationships across Queensland and Northern NSW. She was a 2024 finalist in the National Travel Industry Awards for Most Outstanding Sales Executive (Land Supply – tour operator).

Her background also includes national and state-based roles with Bench Africa, where she focused on building trade sales for the Africa specialist, and extensive retail management experience at Flight Centre.

Montgomerie’s appointment follows a series of trade-facing investments from Regent in the Australian market, including expanded sales team support and targeted engagement with luxury travel advisors.

Regent Seven Seas Cruises, part of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd., operates what it calls The World’s Most Luxurious Fleet®, with ships carrying between 496 and 850 guests. Known for its all-inclusive pricing, small-ship luxury, and global itineraries, the line has been sailing for over 30 years.

Its next vessel, Seven Seas Prestige™, is scheduled for delivery in 2026, while Seven Seas Mariner and Seven Seas Voyager will undergo multimillion-dollar renovations.
