Swan Hellenic has made a statement about its ambitions in Australia and New Zealand, appointing seasoned cruise executive Kirsty Fruin as Sales Director for the region.
Based in Australia, Fruin will lead the expedition cruise line’s sales strategy and trade engagement across both markets, working closely with agency partners, key accounts and industry stakeholders.
She reports to Regional Director Beth Stolyar and will focus on driving growth, brand awareness, training and sales development.

Fruin joins Swan Hellenic from HX Expeditions, where she was Key Account Manager ANZ, overseeing major trade relationships and delivering targeted sales and marketing initiatives.
Her background spans both hemispheres and includes senior roles with Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, Royal Caribbean Cruises and The Travel Corporation.
With deep experience across cruise, commercial strategy and account management, Swan Hellenic says Fruin brings a strong understanding of how to build long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships with the travel trade.

According to the cruise line, the appointment reinforces its commitment to advisors at a time when interest in expedition and culturally immersive cruising continues to grow, particularly among well-travelled Australian and NZ clients seeking something different.
“Kirsty’s deep understanding of the cruise and expedition sector, combined with her strong trade relationships and commercial expertise, makes her a valuable addition to the Swan Hellenic team,” Swan Hellenic Regional Director Beth Stolyar said.
“We are excited to have her lead our sales efforts across Australia and New Zealand.”
KARRYON UNPACKS: Appointing a familiar face with AU/NZ cruise credibility tells advisors they’re being taken seriously. For agents, it means stronger local support, better training and a clearer path to selling expedition cruising with confidence.
