TAG travel and event management company has promoted three executive team members to key leadership roles amid a company-wide reorganisation. Gabrielle Carr will be Global Chief Operating Officer, Shane Barr is appointed Chief Revenue Officer and Byron Carr as President – Global Touring.
Completing the executive team lineup and remaining in their current roles are Chief Technology Officer Bruce Wildgust and Interim Chief Financial Officer Neil Barnes.
In addition, from January 2025, Founder John Gianquitto will become a Global Ambassador for TAG after more than 35 years in the business.

TAG CEO Jens Penny said the appointment of the executive positions also ensures the company structure reflects the global nature of the business and supports long-term strategic growth plans.
As well as her existing operational responsibilities in the US and EMEA, Australian Gabrielle Carr will now assume overall responsibility for APAC operations.
“I am elated to become more involved with our highly successful APAC operation. This opportunity feels like a full-circle moment, allowing me to work closely with teams in the region that holds personal significance for me – home. I look forward to contributing to the ongoing growth and success globally,” she said.

In his new global role and based in the Queensland office, Shane Barr will be responsible for new sales, business development, account management and marketing for entertainment and corporate clients.
“I’m excited to be part of this new chapter as it perfectly aligns with our ambitious global growth strategy. Over the past decade, I’ve been proud to lead TAG’s expansion in the APAC region and contribute to the company’s success,” he said.
“This new role presents an incredible opportunity to drive global revenue growth, and I’m eager to help shape the future of our business on a global scale.”
As President – Global Touring, Byron Carr will have ultimate responsibility for the strategic direction and vision for touring, the company’s largest division.
“I’m honoured to continue driving growth by expanding into new markets, launching innovative client-facing technology and maintaining our commitment to delivering the best service in the industry,” he said.

Vicki Marcroft will also join TAG in December 2024 as Director of People & Culture.
Penny said: “Vicki comes with extensive experience in several multinational companies and will take responsibility for our people strategy, which is hugely important with nearly 500 colleagues across more than 20 global locations.”
