B2B booking platform TBO has appointed Paul Groundwater as Head of API Business, Australia & New Zealand  – a new role for the region to expand the travel tech solutions company’s reach after it launched in Australia last year.

Groundwater will be responsible for leading strategic partnerships, driving API adoption across key wholesale clients and expanding the company’s regional presence.

He brings an extensive background in sales, strategic planning and business development to the newly created role, most recently as Manager for SA & Tasmania with Helloworld Travel.

Groundwater has deep experiences across luxury travel, tourism, finance and retail sectors, including stints with Stuba, Excite Holidays, Express Travel Group and Virgin Australia.

TBO said his leadership in contract negotiations with global suppliers, team mentorship, and development of policies across sales, HR and marketing make him well-equipped to lead its API business expansion across Australia and New Zealand.

His expertise in B2B partnerships, account management and leveraging tech-driven solutions will be instrumental in driving the adoption of the API platform and enhancing client success.
