New Antarctic adventure company Terra Nova Expeditions has added experienced polar expert Karen O’Dwyer as Passenger Experience & Reservations Manager for Asia Pacific to increase its support for direct clients and trade partners in the region.
O’Dwyer joins the team alongside recently appointed fellow Passenger Experience & Reservations Manager Ann Souter, who will continue to oversee North America and Europe.
Terra Nova Expeditions welcomes O’Dwyer from her most recent role as a Polar Travel Advisor at Quark Expeditions. She has also held sales and retail positions at Eclipse Travel, Peregrine Travel, Virgin Australia and Flight Centre Travel Group.

Founder Greg Carter said O’Dwyer brings her boundless enthusiasm for the polar regions and extensive industry experience across the Asia Pacific travel sector to the Terra Nova Expeditions team.
“Having Karen on board is a real milestone for us. She is widely recognised in the industry as a ‘polar guru’ in Australia, and we know our clients are in safe hands with her knowledge, energy and care,” he said.

To further support the Australian travel trade, Terra Nova Expeditions has introduced AUD pricing, making it easier for Aussie advisors and travellers to book their Antarctic adventures.
“We’re really looking forward to working more closely with the Australian travel trade with Karen leading the way,” Carter said.

Newly launched in July 2025 and helmed by ex-Chimu Adventures C-Founder Greg Carter, Terra Nova Expeditions will offer small-ship voyages to Antarctica from December 2026 with a budget-friendly, immersive approach to polar exploration through world-first and inclusive experiences.
