The first-ever Tourism and Events NT Advisory Board has been appointed, featuring a powerhouse lineup of eight travel and tourism leaders to steer the strategic promotion of the Northern Territory as a desirable destination in 2026.
The Tourism and Events NT (formerly Tourism NT) Advisory Board appointments were selected based on experience from more than 50 nominations, reflecting a strong interest in the NT visitor economy.
The 2026 Advisory Board features Territorians and interstate members Amy Hill, Brett Mitchell, Hayley Richards, Lisa Pile, Paul Ah Chee (Chair), Penny Priest, Suzana Bishop and Tim McColl Jones.

The lineup includes well-known travel industry stalwarts, such as Intrepid Travel ANZ MD Brett Mitchell and Regent Seven Seas Cruises APAC VP Sales & GM and Oceania Cruises Asia VP Sales Lisa Pile, alongside events expert Amy Hill and experienced government and visitor economy executives.
As a new entity within the Northern Territory Government Department of Tourism and Hospitality, merging Tourism NT and NT Major Events Company, Tourism and Events NT plays a significant role in developing tourism infrastructure and experiences and marketing the NT.

The board has a diverse skillset from across the visitor economy to guide Tourism and Events NT, bringing local, national and international perspectives.
Tourism and Events NT CEO Suzana Bishop said the organisation received nationwide interest to be a part of the inaugural Tourism and Events NT Advisory Board after outlining its vision in the Northern Territory Visitor Economy Strategy 2032.
“I look forward to seeing this new board shape the future of the Northern Territory visitor economy, from growing the industry to showcasing our incredible events and experiences to the world,” she said.

New Chair Paul Ah Chee, who was most recently Chair of Tourism NT Board of Commissioners, said he was looking forward to working with the Advisory Board to showcase the Northern Territory’s culture, lifestyle and experiences.
“The new highly experienced Advisory Board will provide expert advice to grow the visitor economy, showcase the destination, Aboriginal culture, unique landscapes and the cultural diversity of the Northern Territory,” he said.
The new Tourism and Events NT Advisory Board commenced on 1 January 2026.
