As Travellers Choice farewells long-serving BDM Kim Tomlinson, the group has appointed Kerrie Selby to take on the role across Queensland and Northern NSW.
With over 30 years’ experience across retail travel, corporate travel and hospitality, Selby brings deep industry knowledge to her new role. She will support member agencies across Queensland and Northern NSW, coordinate regional sales and marketing initiatives, and strengthen ties with Travellers Choice’s preferred suppliers.
Where you’ve seen Selby before
Most recently, Selby was National Franchise Manager for Branded & Associate Networks at Helloworld Travel. Her previous positions span a mix of regional, state and national leadership roles.
Travellers Choice Managing Director Christian Hunter says Selby’s appointment reflects the group’s commitment to close-knit member relationships.

“Kerrie has a genuine passion for nurturing strong bonds with travel agency owners and helping them grow their businesses,” Hunter said.
“She also understands the intrinsic value of forging close and respected relationships with preferred suppliers.
“‘I have no doubt that our Queensland and Northern NSW members will benefit enormously from her enthusiasm, expertise and insight.”
Closing the chapter on Kim Tomlinson’s travel career
Selby succeeds Kim Tomlinson, who retires after nearly a decade with Travellers Choice and a 40-year career that has included senior roles at Qantas, Travelscene American Express and Emirates.
Tomlinson played a key role in guiding member agencies through industry upheavals, including the COVID-19 pandemic.

“During his time with Travellers Choice Kim has shown an unwavering commitment to supporting independent travel agents, especially during one of the most turbulent periods in our industry’s history,” Hunter said.
“On behalf of all of our members I would like to pass on our enormous gratitude and wish him a wonderful, well-earned retirement.”
KARRYON UNPACKS: Kerrie Selby’s appointment reinforces Travellers Choice’s focus on regional support and supplier ties. For agents in Queensland and Northern NSW, it’s both a leadership change and a chance to reset for growth.
