TravelManagers is expanding its footprint in the corporate travel space with the appointment of MaryLuz Escandor as Corporate Operations Executive.
In the newly created role, Escandor will focus on building tailored support for personal travel managers (PTMs) servicing business clients — a key move as the company sharpens its focus on this growing sector.
Executive General Manager Michael Gazal said Escandor’s extensive industry background made her the ideal fit to lead this push.
“Over the past fourteen years, Mary has garnered a wealth of experience across multiple sectors of the travel industry, in airlines, cruise and sales,” he says.

“She will be working closely with our PTMs to provide the tools, support and confidence they need to grow and manage their corporate business.
Gazal adds that Escandor will also be responsible for “building relationships with key airline and hotel suppliers to ensure they have access to competitive value and added benefits”.
MaryLuz says her immediate priority is to listen and learn, before developing strategic solutions that work for the network’s unique business model.

“TravelManagers is a stand-out out due to its personalised service model, national network of experienced personal travel managers, and a technology-supported yet human-centric approach,” she states.
“Unlike traditional agencies, the TravelManagers model emphasises relationship-based service, not just transactional support, partnering big TMC [Travel Management Company] capabilities with boutique service.”
Escandor says corporate travel is changing rapidly as it becomes more personalised – and she’s excited to be at the forefront of that evolution.
“After years of working in leisure travel, I am enjoying the fresh perspective and focus that the world of corporate travel offers. It is fast-paced and purpose-driven, but it is still driven by people and relationships,” she adds.
“In any new role, I enjoy connecting the dots, identifying what’s working, and building from there. I’m excited to be part of the TravelManagers corporate offering.”
Ahead of its annual national conference on 16-18 September, TravelManagers revealed the keynote speakers who will address BALI2025 attendees and continue the network’s tradition of featuring renowned thought leaders and inspirational figures. Read more about that here.
