1. Charity Turner sets up her own consultancy

Charity Turner has started consultancy business Evolve Republic after honing her skills over 12 years in sales and marketing roles with some of Australia’s leading expedition cruising brands, including the Kimberley Cruise Centre and most recently North Star Cruises.

Targeting experiential lifestyle and niche tourism brands, Evolve Republic provides full scale consultation services for both product and brand.

Teaming up with several specific discipline specialists including graphic designers and web developers, her most high profile recruit is digital strategist Rhiannon Taylor. Rhiannon will focus on rebranding work and curating digital imagery for fresh content.

Evolve Republic will offer services in operations; content; design and advertising; plus digital.

2. Gabrielle Spanton promoted to VP of Sales

AlliedPRA, Inc., announces Gabrielle Spanton has been promoted to the senior management team position of Vice President, Global Sales, overseeing the strategic direction and management of the AlliedPRA Global Sales team, effective immediately, according to Tony Lorenz, CMM, Chief Executive Officer.

Spanton provides almost 30 years of sales experience in the industry, managing multi-million dollar business relationships and high-end incentive programs.

Her career spans from the airline industry to performance improvement, loyalty solutions and strategic meetings management. Prior to her promotion, Spanton served as Director of Global Sales for AlliedPRA driving key account relationships, further developing the Canadian marketplace and targeted industry sectors.

3. AccorHotels announces new GM appointments

AccorHotels has announced several new appointments in Australia and New Zealand.

Jeremy Healy has been appointed to the position of General Manager, Sofitel Auckland Viaduct Harbour. First joining AccorHotels in November 2011 as Hotel Manager at Sofitel Melbourne On Collins, Jeremy’s most recent position was seconded to The Como Melbourne MGallery by Sofitel as General Manager.

Nathan Frost has been appointed to the position of General Manager, Novotel Canberra. Nathan joined AccorHotels in 1998, working in the food and beverage department at the Mercure Hotel Sydney.

Since graduating from AccorHotels’ National Management Trainee Program, he has held key operational roles in several hotels, including Sofitel Melbourne On Collins, Novotel Melbourne Glen Waverly and Novotel St Kilda. His most recent role was General Manager, Ibis Adelaide.

Jeremy Samuels has been appointed to the position of General Manager, Ibis Adelaide. Joining AccorHotels 2012 as Director of Revenue at Sofitel Sydney Wentworth, Jeremy diversified to his most recent role as Executive Assistant Manager at Mercure Sydney central.
