Ms Blows has held senior management roles at specialist wholesaler Rail Plus and European rail distributor Rail Europe, where she was most recently Customer Care Manager Asia Pacific.

As GM, Ms Blows will be responsible for all sales, marketing and operational matters in the ANZ markets and is excited to join Rail Online as it makes tracks to expand operations in Australasia and Europe and into North America.

“This is a rare opportunity to help drive the company’s growth trajectory and help the Rail Online team realise a vision to establish the world’s most valued and frequently used travel app for rail and public transport,” she said.

Rail Online CEO James Dunne said Ms Blows will contribute more than her expertise in the global rail sector.

“Kirsty also brings an unrivalled understanding of the Australian and New Zealand travel sectors, having built close and trusted relationships with travel agents and trade partners on both sides of the Tasman,” Mr Dunne said.

“Essentially, we built the general manager role around Kirsty because no one else offers that combination of world-class knowledge and exceptional local connections.”
