MSC Cruises has appointed Lisa Teiotu as Managing Director for its Australasia business. Lisa moves from her role as regional Commercial Director for the cruise line.

In her new role, Lisa will oversee local operations and commercial activities while developing the company’s growth strategy for the region.

Lisa joined MSC Cruises in November 2019 as the Sales Director, responsible for driving the commercial development of the company’s Australia and New Zealand business. Before joining MSC Cruises, she held the position of Head of Business Development for Australia and New Zealand at Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines.

Angelo Capurro, Sales Executive Director of MSC Cruises, expressed his confidence in Lisa’s appointment.

”With a plethora of industry expertise, the appointment of Lisa Teiotu to lead MSC Cruises’ business across Australia and New Zealand will further strengthen relationships with the local trade to maximize opportunities for growth.”

In addition to Lisa’s appointment, Michelle Warren has been named the Marketing Manager for MSC Cruises Australasia. Michelle joined the company in March 2022 as a Marketing Executive.

The cruise line says that these appointments align with its ambitious growth plan, which aims to introduce 23 new next-generation ships by 2025. This expansion strategy will solidify the company’s position as the market leader in Europe, South America, the Middle East, and Southern Africa.

MSC’s flagship and newest vessel MSC Euribia is currently sailing on an industry-first, net-zero greenhouse emissions voyage ahead of her naming ceremony.
