Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has partnered with Travel Industry Mentor Experience (TIME) to sponsor two ‘Partners First’ scholarships for 2023. The scholarships will provide six-month mentoring relationships for two motivated Australian advisors to fast-track their travel industry careers.
TIME’s professionally matched, six-month mentor-mentee career development program involves each mentee identifying their career objectives before undertaking fortnightly one-to-one meetings with their mentor.
Mentors provide guidance, advice and constructive feedback to help build the mentee’s skills, knowledge and self-confidence.
NCL’s Partners First scholarships are specifically designed for travel industry members seeking to foster and further their careers.
The two successful scholarship winners will be full-time owners/managers or senior consultants aged 18 and over at a travel agency in Australia who have been in the industry for at least one year.
NCL launched its inaugural Partners First scholarships with TIME last year with Johanna Wood (Helloworld Travel Mackay, Mt Pleasant & Willows) and Katrina Tufi (Cruise Guru/Travel The World) set to graduate in 2023.
NCL Business Development Executive Tahlia Shaw is currently completing her six-month mentorship program, while two senior NCL team members – VP & APAC Managing Director Ben Angell and ANZ Senior Sales Manager Angela Middleton – are mentors in the TIME program.
The TIME and NCL partnership extends to New Zealand where two scholarship mentees are currently undertaking the program.
“The TIME mentoring program is a hands-on course, which is equally rewarding for both mentees and mentors,” Ms Middleton said.
“It’s an experience that will have a powerful, and measurable impact on mentees’ future career paths.”
Applications for the NCL Partners First scholarships close on 26 March 2023 with a commencement date of 26 April. Advisors can apply here.
