What will you be doing / Ngā whainga

This role will support the development and implementation of Tourism New Zealand’s trade marketing strategy for Australia. Tourism New Zealand do this by developing campaigns, partnerships, training, hosting events and product development initiatives to ensure that the travel industry understands the motivations and product requirements of the target audience.

Working closely with the Trade Development Manager you will ensure that travel trade partners maximise their returns and at the same time benefiting the New Zealand brand.

Key account management is an important part of the role, as you will be required to build relationships with the biggest travel trade companies in Australia. Exceptional interpersonal skills, creativity and strategic thinking is required as you are responsible for continuously developing Tourism New Zealand’s trade engagement strategy and motivating and enabling travel sellers by strengthening destination awareness and selling capability.

In addition to the awesome people and meaningful, interesting mahi, Tourism New Zealand’s Sydney team embrace a flexible working arrangement, which means they balance time working in the office and working from home.

What you will need / Ngā pūkenga mō tēnei tūranga

  • Exceptional stakeholder and communications skills to work with a wide range of stakeholders and briefing agencies and publishers
  • Project management skills to be able to deliver on time and to brief
  • Able to evaluate results
  • Event management skills
  • Experience managing key accounts
  • Experience in B2B marketing
  • Familiar with website content management and CRM
