Congratulations on the win… what does this award mean to Bicton Travel?

This year was a huge shock and a wonderful surprise!

This was the first year we were nominated in the multi location category due to our acquisition of Claremont Cruise and Travel Centre.

We were up against some amazing multi location agencies much bigger than we are, so we are very humbled by this award.

This showcases the effective implementation of our principles and values, reinforcing our commitment to “making a world of difference” now, in both of our locations.

To what do you attribute your success?

In one word – family.  Good old family values has been a huge part of our success – things like honesty, integrity and loyalty all form part of a strong foundation for lasting, successful relationships, not just within our team, but also with our valued suppliers and loyal clients.

Recently celebrating our 26th birthday as a family-owned business, this is a remarkable achievement!

Our focus has always been and continues to be focused on fostering a supportive and passionate team, which plays a significant role in building our winning formula.

What are you most excited about that’s coming up for Bicton and the sector more broadly?

There’s a lot to be excited about for Bicton Travel and our industry. The industry keeps changing so rapidly and we’re within the start of technological advances which are happening so quickly now.

New up-and-coming destinations and travel experiences are very exciting. There seems to be a huge surge now in those “money can’t buy” experiences, which clients want to experience, not just on their own, but with the whole family!

Bicton Travel is well-positioned for a bright future in the travel industry. We must remain agile and responsive to changing travel trends.

We will continue to have an expansion of offerings and more diverse travel packages and experiences.

The continued investment into a knowledgeable team enhances expertise but also fosters a positive and enthusiastic work environment.

When your team is passionate and knowledgeable, it naturally translates to exceptional service and happy clients. This cycle of positivity can build strong loyalty and referrals, driving further success.

It’s the best industry in the world! The strong sense of camaraderie and friendships formed in the travel industry truly make it unique. The shared enthusiasm for travel creates a supportive and collaborative environment that’s hard to replicate elsewhere.

Being able to turn travel dreams into reality and witness the joy on clients’ faces as they explore new places is incredibly rewarding. It’s those moments of connection and discovery that highlight the magic of travel.
