The countdown is on for the 2025 National Travel Industry Awards (NTIA) on Saturday, October 18, and thanks to Viking’s continued support, finalists are set to enjoy a rooftop celebration at The Star’s Leisure Deck in Brisbane the night before.
Introduced in 2023, the NTIA Finalists Celebration has quickly become a tradition of the NTIAs. It offers those shortlisted the chance to relax, network, and share in the giddy anticipation ahead of the awards the following night.
For many, it is now considered an essential part of the NTIA experience, bringing together advisors, agencies, and suppliers in recognition of their nomination success.
Last year’s event at Madame Tussauds in Sydney drew strong praise from attendees, and this year, the move to Brisbane is set to raise the bar further by again bringing together advisors, agencies, and suppliers in recognition of their success.

Viking Australia & New Zealand has been behind the Finalists Celebration since its inception, with 2025 marking the cruise company’s third year as sponsor.
Michelle Black, Viking’s Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand, says the event holds a special place in the NTIA calendar.
“The Finalist Celebration has become a treasured part of the NTIA, and we’re proud to be sponsoring it for the third time,” Black says.
“Hosting the event under the Brisbane sky on The Star’s Leisure Deck rooftop feels like the perfect setting to celebrate the spirit of our industry.”
The company showcases the evening as a chance not only to cheer for current finalists but also to celebrate past and future winners, while bringing a touch of Viking’s signature fun and flair (and Vikings?) to the event.
What does it mean for the finalists?

For those who have made the shortlist, the celebration, to be held on Friday evening, offers a rare opportunity to be among peers who understand the dedication and commitment it takes to reach NTIA finalist status.
ATIA CEO Dean Long underlined the significance of the night, saying, “The Finalists Celebration is where the excitement really begins as our finalists come together to connect, share their experiences, and celebrate being recognised among the very best in the industry.”
This year’s rooftop venue, combined with Brisbane playing host to its first-ever NTIA awards, is expected to provide a memorable atmosphere for both first-time finalists and returning nominees.
