Travel Agents flocked to the Star Alliance 2019 Roadshow in Wollongong & Brisbane this week, to learn & get their hands on one of three Round the World tickets that are up for grabs.
Some 200 consultants turned up to the alliance’s first two regional roadshows of the year, next up its Geelong, Hobart, Newcastle and the Sunshine Coast.
To take part in the events – and to compete for the Round the World trips – all Agents need is their mobile phone. That’s because Star Alliance has teamed up with learning platform Kahoot (www.kahoot.com) to create a light-hearted game in which audience members take part in a ‘live’ quiz using their mobile devices to answer questions on the Alliance and its members.
Every Agent taking part in the quiz has the chance to win spot prizes, and the three top-scoring Agents at each event will automatically go into a national draw for the three Star Alliance Round the World tickets.
Geelong on 28 May (6.00pm at Rydges Geelong) and Hobart on 30 May (6.00pm at The Old Woolstore) are the next two ports of call for the Star Alliance roadshow, after which the fun and games will move to Newcastle (19 June) and the Sunshine Coast (26 June).
The regional roadshow is just one element of the largest Australian events calendar in Star Alliance’s 21-year history, with corporate travel consultants also taking part in a series of briefings over the next six months and the Alliance featuring strongly in CAPA’s Corporate Travel Summit in Perth on 5 July.
Tim Clyde-Smith, the alliance’s Chair in Australia, says the roadshow events in Wollongong and Brisbane showed just how eager Agents are to learn about Star Alliance developments and hopefully experience its Round the World product first hand.
