More than 500 Helloworld consultants, execs and suppliers hit the Gold Coast for the annual Helloworld Frontliners Forum – many new to the industry – and the theme of ‘Connect and Collaborate’ definitely summed up the vibe of the Contiki pre-famil.

The 24 fam participants enjoyed the beachy and hinterland delights of Noosa on the Sunshine Coast, glamping at Habitat Noosa along with guided bushwalking, canoeing and other outdoor activities on the Noosa Everglades.

New friendships were forged during the pre-fam, including matching tattoos to literally mark the occasion.

TTC Tour Brands Sales Manager Andrea (Andi) Massaro said the power of social travel was highlighted on the mini Contiki famil.

TTC Tour Brands Sales Manager Victoria Jayde Ellis added: “I think the funniest part [of the famil] for me was watching four young agents, who were new to the industry, bond so much they made a joke of getting matching tattoos.”

“And on the last night of the conference, they showed us their new matching tattoos.

“Having only known each other for a few days, they felt comfortable in marking this adventure permanently – a great example of the impact of travelling and how quickly friendships can form with like-minded people.”

Helloworld Head of Branded & Associate Networks Renee Nightingale agreed: “The Contiki pre-Frontliners famil really gave agents the chance to not only experience Contiki but to really connect and make lifelong friends.  The connections that you make at these events can honestly last a lifetime.”

Helloworld Travel Leopold consultant Tash Henningsen summed up the Contiki trip as the “perfect balance of fun and bonding”.

“To spend time with a random bunch of strangers is always a challenge, however, the Contiki team of [guide] Cass, Andi and Jayde made it such a relaxing and comfortable few days.”

Helloworld Travel Wodonga consultant Macaylah Schulz added: “I’m so glad for the opportunity to go on the Contiki famil to Noosa.

“It was a great start to an amazing week and I loved meeting new friends, especially Georgia from Helloworld Geraldton – we have been texting each other since coming home. Contiki definitely brings people together!”
