The upcoming Payments, Scams and Security webinar on 23 May at 4pm is highly relevant for any travel professionals who process payments, says AFTA CEO Dean Long.

“With such high rates of and millions of dollars lost to fraud every year, it’s important for our members to be aware of the dangers of scams in the travel sector and having the tools and knowledge to guard their businesses against fraudulent payments,” he said.

TravelPay (Zenith Payments) General Manager Kevin Butler will join the AFTA team for the webinar to cover topics such as chargebacks, best payment practices, PCI compliance, refunds, international cheques and merchant fee changes.

He will also explain common scams that affect agents and what to look out for.

“This webinar is crucial viewing for all travel professionals who are processing payments in understanding the regulations, compliance and the safest practices for sending and storing payments,” Mr Long said.
