He may be Goldman by name, but industry legend Tom Goldman OAM has just celebrated his diamond anniversary in the travel business, racking up an impressive 60 years, including 39 years at the helm of the Goldman Group.
More than 180 Goldman Group team members, supplier partners and industry colleagues gathered to c celebrate Tom Goldman’s milestone occasion at a gala dinner at Sydney’s Museum of Contemporary Art last week.
Tributes flowed from speakers, including former AFTA Chairman Mike Thompson and Virtuoso Senior Executive Michael Londregan.
Gala guests included Mr Goldman’s family, including his grandchildren, Goldman Group supplier partners and other industry friends.

Mr Goldman established the Goldman Group in 1983, which is now a multi-award-winning, third-generation, family-owned and –operated travel advisory group specialising in luxury and business travel.
The Goldman Group of travel companies includes Goldman Travel Corporation, Travelcall, SmartFlyer Australia, Quintessentially Travel Australia and The Cruise Centre.

Goldman Group is also a leading Virtuoso member and a founding member of Link Travel Group.
Goldman Group Joint Managing Director Anthony Goldman said the evening was a wonderful event that paid tribute to his father, an industry mentor and travel legend.
“The room was buzzing with stories from years gone by, and our teams, industry friends and supplier partners were happy to be all together to pay tribute to Tom,” he said.

Goldman Group Conference
The Goldman Group also held a one-day conference at the Shangri-la Sydney on 25 November 2022, where Goldman Travel Sydney, Travelcall Sydney and Melbourne, The Cruise Centre in Brisbane and Smartflyer Australia staff came together for supplier networking sessions.
Conference attendees heard from keynote speaker former tennis champion Jelena Dokic as well as Goldman Group Joint Managing Directors Anthony Goldman and David Goldman.
