Edgy venues
Firstly, there’s the venues themselves. Celebrity Edge incorporates some of the most advanced technology to redefine live entertainment. Think immersive experiences that blur the line between audience and performance.
The Theatre throws away the stage curtain, extending into the audience with a duo-directional rotating platform that rises two metres above the stage for a next-level experience.
With two rotating spiral staircases, six synchronised panoramic screens, 18 video-mapping lasers, aerial performance rigging and more, the behind-the-scenes tech might just steal the show.
Then there’s The Club – hosting activities by day and a Prohibition-era Undercover at The Club show by night.
But really there’s entertainment everywhere. From the Rooftop Concert Series and Garden Cinema Series to theatrical bartender flair shows in the Martini Bar and live acoustic music in the three-level Eden space, guests aboard Celebrity Edge will be spoilt for choice.
Edgy shows
For the 2023 ANZ season, Celebrity Edge is rolling out the red carpet and putting on a brand-new show.
Feel the Funk melds choreography, vocals and stage production in one contagious concert, featuring tunes from the ‘70s to today.
Also at The Theatre, guests will be rapt by three other full-production shows. There’s the Shakespeare-inspired A Hot Summer Night’s Dream with music, acrobatics and the Bard; and the high-energy music and dance extravaganza, Kaleidoscope.
Even the Camp at Sea program for younger cruisers ups the ante with 500-plus activities in two cool spaces – one for teens and one for kids.
